Well hello blog, it’s been a while.
I haven’t played online for at least 2 weeks, somewhat of a record for me I think. Anyway, I went on today really not up for it and with an attitude of ‘I don’t care’ which is oh so dangerous. My bankroll is at $38.12 and I feel that I have to get it up.
I enter a $5 SNG (far more than bankroll allows for) and win that so take $17.50 for my efforts. I then think sod it, up the stakes (yes I know I shouldn’t) so enter a $15 SNG, only to go out first. I hit trips on the flop, someone goes all in so I call, he’s fishing a flush and hits it on the river so not happy.
I then decided to play cash tables. For some reason I feel really angry today and decide to play really aggressive. Boy did that work. First hand I get AK Suited, get a raise pre flop which I call and hit 2 A’s on the flop. I bet $1.00 (blinds on this table are $0.25/$0.50) and see a fold. Next hand I get pp 4’s so raise by $2 and get reraised by $6. Next guy calls and in my angry state of mind I call. Q 3 Q comes down, see 2 all-ins so I call (what the hell) and I don’t know why but to my amazement I took the pot with 2 pair Q 4 and with it a win of nearly $36
Playing poker in this state of mind is a dangerous game, I’ve not really done it before and it could have been disastrous but the gods must have been smiling on me today and I got away with it.
I came off straight away (probably to the disgust of the players, I’d feel annoyed) but I’m up and that was my aim, my bankroll is now sitting at $53.57 so all in all I’m up $15.45 today, not bad for 30-40 mins play.

I’ve taken the stats off the site as I won’t get near to it. Am I bothered, well I suppose $50 free would have been nice but it was playing catch up on the bonus that caused me to wipe out my entire profit so I’m not chasing it anymore. Ladbrokes can keep their $50 and hopefully I can re stock my bankroll

And it started so well. I entered a $2 SNG and won so that put me up $5 so I entered another, only to come 3rd.
So I though there’s an MTT starting shortly for $5 I’ll enter that, what a mistake. I thought it was a n/l but it turned out to be a f/l and boy was it tough going. 1 hour in and not a single player had been knocked out. To be fair once the blinds were up a bit we all started going like like flies and by this time my stack was going, I couldn’t catch a cold (ahermmm well yes I have) and I eventually went all in out of sheer boredom more than anything else. What a complete waste of time and money.
Anyhow, there was a 6 seater $10 buy in and I’m usually good a 6 seaters so entered that and out of 121 players I was out in 46th (having been 2nd for most of it; to the point I was out within 2 hands. Damn pp A’s again on the 1st hand that lost me a large majority of my stack and the very next hand I hit A K Suited. Put in a large raise get reraised so have to throw everything in (as I wasn’t left with much) and got rivered.
What this means is for the first time since signing up on ladbrokes, I have dipped below my starting pot which has really annoyed me. 2 weeks ago I was at near enough $100 and now I’m down to around $48. OK I can start again and try to build it up slowly, I feel my game play today was OK and I did’t make many bad calls, just had a run of bad luck. Problem is I am so tempted to sit at a cash table but thats what lost e most of my profit but want my bankroll up, 1 hand could do it…..ooohhh decisions decisions, what to do!!!
No, think I’ll stick with the low limit SNG’s, play with the fish and see if I get lucky and hopefully start to rebuild.

Well my poker play over the last week has been near enough non existent. I’ve had my little boys birthday, xmas fete and I’ve also got the dreaded ‘man flu’ so obviously can’t move, can’t speak and guys you know what I mean. Girls, you just don’t get it do you!!!!!
So with a lack of play I’ve nothing to report. Still feel like shite so I won’t be playing for the next few days thats for sure.
Byeeeee for now!!!!!!

I managed 4 SnG’s today and decided to play ‘turbos’ and did OK. I came 3rd in 3 of them and won the other so my stake for today has been $ 9.20 with winnings of $7.
My first one I didn’t hit a card at all, was getting very agitated as with a turbo you really need to gain a few chips early and before I knew it my stack was way down and through other players being knocked out I somehow managed a 3rd. My second one was a disaster as my computer crashed as we started the second hand. After a sluggish restart I was still OK, hit some decent hands that won, had others that lost mainly through me making bad decisions as was the same really with the 3rd one.
My final one was the winner and it was all very strange. 3rd hand in, I get A Q so make 4 x blind raise and get a caller. The flop bings A 8 4 so I check to see what this guy will do. He goes all-in. Having not won a ‘reasonable pot’ at all for most of the day I say what the heck, I have top pair with a decent kicker so call it (with an aim to double up). He turns over 10 2 unsuited. Eh? What the?? I’m absolutely staggered and am still trying to work out what his game plan was. (OK, steal the pot is the only answer it can be) but with me having put in a higher than average raise pre-flop, he must of put me something fairly decent….. surely? Anyhow I double up and didn’t look back. I took out 2 more players and by the time it came to heads up the chip ratio was about 5:1 and I bullied a few steals etc and unluckily for him went all in with 6 7 suited when I’d hit A J. I hit the J which proved to be the winner.
I’m out playing poker tonght at Knights of Poker so that’s my play for day, down but overall happy with my days work (although could do a lot better)
Todays stake : $9.20 Won $7 Down $2.20
